BAFTA Kids Young Presenter Competition 2019
Do you need a fun and engaging activity to help fill out the Summer Holidays? BAFTA Kids have exactly what you need.
They are running their annual Young Presenter Competition until 6th September 2019.
The winner of the competition becomes BAFTA’s very own Young Presenter, filming for BAFTA Kids throughout the year. The first assignment will be at the BAFTA Children’s Awards in December, and they’ll also get to present an award at the ceremony. Additionally, they will be offered a special filming opportunity with Sky Kids’ news show, FYI.
In order to enter, you will need to be 14 years of age or younger.
With the help of a parent or guardian, you will make a 2-minute video telling BAFTA about something you care about. Start the video by saying:
“Hello, I’m [your name] reporting for BAFTA Kids, and I care about…”
Any subject is accepted, for example, the environment, football, acting, pets, family. You can talk directly to the camera or interview someone.
Once all submissions are received by Friday 6 September 2019 at 17:00 BST, the BAFTA Kids team will select a shortlist to be judged by First News and a celebrity jury. The finalists will be invited to London for a special masterclass and audition on 26 October. Finalists will be notified on Monday 30 September via the parent or guardian’s email. Full details of the competition are on the BAFTA Kids website along with videos featuring Tianna, Braydon and Daniel: the first three winners.
