We are excited to announce the results of the latest round of the popular 5 Week Film Challenge competition.
The latest edition ran from 12th January to 9th February and 29 Academy locations took part, some for the first time. In total we received 49 films and it was incredibly difficult to judge, the quality of Academy films just keeps going up and up!
We have selected three joint winners, and five runner ups which will all be screened at the PQA Film Festival 2019.

Runner-Ups: Wilderness Lost by PQA Wolverhampton, Kit & Kat’s Galactic Adventures by PQA Tunbridge Wells, Showtime by PQA Bolton, Quinton’s Quest by PQA Hemel Hempstead, Crime Never Pays by PQA Lincoln.
The above films will all be screened at the PQA Film Festival 2019.
The following 10 films were all Highly Commended and these will be in contention to screen. Tinker Tailor Sneezing Spy by PQA Bristol, Lost & Found by PQA Tunbridge Wells, Cereal Kindness by PQA Hemel Hempstead, A Slice of Action by PQA Bolton, Hunted by PQA Doncaster, In Her Shoes by PQA Harlow, Baby Sharks & Rubber Ducks by PQA Reading, Disco Talent Show by PQA Aylesbury, The Interview by PQA Sheffield and The Search by PQA Bishops Stortford
We also have a Special Award for Innovation to all four PQA Rugby entries for making four films with an interlinking narrative.
A North event and South event will make up the PQA Film Festivals 2019 season, taking place on Sunday 17 November (North) and Sunday 1 December (South), and the films which screen at either one of these two events will also be considered for the PQA National Film Awards in 2020.
